چکیده
In the recent past, significant research effort has been dedicated to examining usage of nanomaterials hybridized with lignocellulosic fibers as reinforcement in fabrication polymer nanocomposites. The introduction nanoparticles like montmorillonite (MMT) nanoclay was found increase strength, modulus elasticity and stiffness composites provide thermal stability. resulting composite materials figured prominently development efforts devoted nanocomposites are often used strengthening agents, especially for structural applications. distinct properties MMT, namely its hydrophilicity, well high aspect ratio modulus, aids dispersion this inorganic crystalline layer water-soluble polymers. ability MMT intercalate into interlayer space monomers polymers is used, followed by exfoliation filler particles monolayers nanoscale particles. present review article intends a general overview features structure, chemical composition, fibers. Some techniques obtaining based on described: (i) conventional, (ii) intercalation, (iii) melt (iv) situ polymerization methods. This also comprehensively discusses mechanical, thermal, flame retardancy MMT-based valuable lignocellulose allow us expand possibilities using various advanced industrial

متن کاملBioinspired Assembly of Inorganic Nanoplatelets for Reinforced Polymer Nanocomposites
Steel and metal alloys have long been used for structural applications because they are both strong and flaw-tolerant. By contrast, ceramics, which are strong but not tolerant to surface flaws and cracks, and polymers, which are flaw-tolerant and can deform under applied stresses, are less favourable as structural materials. However, nature has resolved this dilemma by millions of years of biol...
